Our family helped Wayne celebrate his 81st birthday Sunday. We had an enjoyable time. When you get our age, you don’t think about how many years, we are thankful we can still get around and do some things for ourselves.
Time to take the Christmas tree down but that’s another chore. I’ve got to face the fact that I’m getting lazy in “my old age.” Maybe we could call it a “Birthday Tree” and as large as our family is, there is someone having a birthday every month.
I called the school for news and they didn’t have any. Before long it will be time for summer vacation and I’m sure all teachers and staff will be very busy until then.
Our granddaughter Addy is having a birthday this week. Our baby but, of course, her words are: “I am not a baby.”
