Harold Dendy Brown who works as a solid waste operator in Bryan, had his legs crushed when he was pinned to the back of the work truck Friday. Please keep him in your daily prayers. His mother is Tootsie Brown.
On Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. until 12-noon, there will be a flu shot clinic at the Gause Community Center, 421 Prof. Smith St., for all persons three years and older. No appointment necessary.
The cost is $30 if you do not have insurance. For those 65 and older with Medicare Part B, please bring your card and there will be no cost to you.
Lois Wilkins, Wanda and Al Coats attended the Catholic church fundraiser and auction in Hearne Sunday. They report they had a good time and the food was delicious.
Patti Stewart attended her high school class reunion in Hearne Friday night. It was the homecoming game and Hearne won.
Milano homecoming is Friday, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Then on Oct. 26, beginning at 6 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria, there will be a chili supper. Proceeds will go to Milano Project Graduation. Cost is $7, which includes chili and the fixings, tea and dessert.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, at Gause School track, there will be an Ovarian & Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/ Run. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. Meet at the track.
A reminder: Gause Baptist Church will have their Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 3-5 p.m. at the family Life Center, next to the church. Everyone is invited to attend.
