Saturday is the community Easter egg hunt at Gause Baptist Church. Each child that intends to hunt needs to have their filled plastic eggs at Coats Grocery before Saturday morning (Friday, if possible). Refreshments will be served following the hunt, so you will need to bring some type of refreshment. This is a community activity that literally means you have to contribute to make it possible to succeed. If you know of a child that would like to come but, for some reason a family member can’t bring them, get them some filled plastic eggs and bring them. Also Saturday is Earth Day and the Texas Master Naturalists will have a program at Rockdale Community Center, 109 N. Main. There will be lots of people who participate to make this a success and they give away “free stuff.” Wayne’s sister, Sandra Dworaczyk, is a member of the organization and very actively involved, but she is still in the hospital in Houston. Please keep her in your prayers. We have word that granddaughter Kendall Lee has been accepted into nursing school in Kerrville. We are so proud of her. Gause United Methodist Church will have Maundy Thursday (with communion) at 6 p.m. Good Friday service is set for 6 p.m. and Easter service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. An Easter egg hunt for the kids will immediately follow the service. Pastor Kyle McNealy invited all to “come and join us in worship.” If you have any questions, call Reba Fischer. On April 30, Gause 4-H Club will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser in the school cafeteria. Serving time is 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Don’t wait too late or they may be sold out! Elizabeth Moore’s softball team is undefeated so far this season. She plays for Hearne’s Little League “Diamitees.” Wanda and Alfred Coats went to Cameron Saturday afternoon for a surprise birthday party for Debbie Vann.
