Alfred Coats had knee replacement surgery. He is home and doing as well as can be expected.

Gause United Methodist Church will have a five-week Bible Study beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 4. You need to sign up now. They have to get the material everyone will need.

Gause Community Improvements Program will have Founders Day on Saturday, Sept. 14.

If you want to be in the parade, it will form at Gause School. Be there by 9 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from this community activity will go to two college scholarships to Gause youth graduating from area high schools and for the upkeep of the Community Center and grounds.

Bake your favorite pie, cake or cookies (or all three) and donate to this activity. You can bake one or two of each if you have a lot of spare time. All donations are appreciated.

There will be no school in Gause on Monday, Labor Day.

The Gause Lady Bears will host a game against St. Paul Lutheran of Thorndale at 5 p.m. Monday. If possible, come support the Gause team.

On Sept. 5, the Lady Bears will host McDade at 5 p.m. Then on Sept. 6, they will travel to St. Joseph in Bryan.
