Due to COVID-19, the Austin Area Food Bank that comes to Gause Community Center on the second Tuesday of the month has been canceled until further notice. They will let me know when they will be returning and I will get the word out.
Distribution will be in Cameron on April 14 and 28 at the Blessing from God Pantry.
Not being able to get outside (or not wanting to get out in the dreary weather) I put on a big pot of soup in my slow cooker Sunday. I had some frozen hamburger meat, took that and cooked it, added some canned vegetables and water, salt and pepper, and it tasted real good.
During this time, Coats Grocery will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. If you know you need items, go on and get these early in the day.
