The Smith Family Reunion & Cookout was held Friday and it was a huge success. The food was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with everyone—some of whom we hadn’t seen in some time.
A reminder that Vacation Bible School will be held this week, July 30-Aug. 2, at Gause Baptist Church from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This if for ages pre-K through sixth grade. Everyone in the community and surrounding area is invited and encouraged to attend. A meal will be served each evening. Donations for the meal will be appreciated.
This week 20 children are at pre-teen camp at Latham Springs. A couple of weeks ago, 40 teens went to youth camp. Looks like all the kids are having a good time this summer.
Sunday afternoon the Larry Butler memorial service was held at Gause United Methodist Church.
Gause CIP Founder’s Day is coming up in a couple of months—Sept. 8. Start making your plans to attend. We need help, donations and participants for a nice parade and day. Contact Delores Fisher, 979-279-5707, for more information.
