Iattended the Shaw family reunion on Saturday and saw some friends and family that I haven’t seen in some time

It was held in Gause Baptist Church Family Life Center. I had a great time and thank them for the invitation. Lots of people were there.

On Sunday evening Wayne and I joined family and friends for dinner at the Coopers.

The Stephen Chapel Church will have their pastor appreciation program at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2. Rev. Stanley Harris, pastor of the Concord Church in Giddings will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to good worship, fellowship and food.

I have had information in earlier articles about the upcoming Gause CIP Founders Day being held on Saturday, Sept. 8. If you didn’t see it please call me at 979-279-2472 or Delores Fisher at 979-279-5707. We want everyone that will and can to participate. There will be lots of fun activities taking place.

If you want to be a part of the parade be at the Gause School grounds by 9:30 a.m. to line up.

You can purchase a booth for $10 and set up your wares if you are one of those crafty people with cute and sometimes unusual items.

Activities will be held under the trees next to the Baptist Church. There will be a cake and pie auction following the parade, if you would like to bake a cake, pie, etc., for this. The proceeds from these various activities are used for things we do in the community.

Wanda and Al Coats attended Madelyn Rasco’s first year birthday party on Saturday. She is the daughter of Bryce and Natalie Rasco, making her Wanda and Al’s great granddaughter.
