Alcoa retirees set to meet
March 13th
Alcoa Retirees will meet on Thursday, March 13, at the Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall at 5 p.m. A business meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m.
A fried fish meal will be $10 and annual dues of $10 will be collected at the meeting. Dessert group will be M-Z.

VFD fish fry
March 15th
Tanglewood Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Drive-Through Fish Fry on Saturday, March 15, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at 1041 West CR 415 in Lexington.
Plates are $15 for adults and $10 for children and include fish, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. Homemade desserts will also be for sale.
Rose pruning demonstration
February 26th
The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association’s annual rose pruning demonstration is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Triangle Demonstration Garden, located at the corner of Washington and 21st St. in Cameron.
Join the gardeners for an afternoon of rose pruning demonstrations, including information on tools, tips and techniques. Bring your rose-pruning gloves for hands-on practice and ask any questions you may have about other plants, as well.
As a reminder, the LRBMGA annual plant sale is March 1 at 9 a.m. at the Milam County Youth Exposition Building in Cameron.
