Brooke Graham, along with family members Ben and Macy Graham, will be the featured artists on Friday, Sept. 15, at Frog Joy Farms in Chriesman and there’s a “small world” story to go with the concert.
Last year Brooke sat in on a pickers circle at Front Street Burgers in Chriesman. Also in attendance were Houston transplants Steve and Cathy Locke, who own Frog Joy Farms. The couple host house concerts there featuring singer-songwriters.
Brooke spent a lot of her childhood on her grandparent’s farm. Their names were Jake and Dot Barfield. She remembers running wild through the farm’s fields, woods and the sandy shores along Davidson Creek.
The Lockes invited Brooke to play at their farm and, as they talked more, she discovered that the Lockes purchased her grandparent’s farm from her family. So the concert will be like going home and back to her childhood.
The doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the music will start at 7:45 p.m. Bring your own chairs and beverages along with a donation to the band. Suggested donation is $25. The address is 4699 CR 308 in Caldwell.
