The Grand Champion at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s Junior Market Steer Auction was Stiles Patin, 17, with Thorndale 4-H. The steer, named ‘King,’ a solid white Charloais cross, sold for $550,000 to J. Alan Kent Development of Houston. Patin has been showing cattle since he was nine years old.
