Volunteer firefighters from Milano, Rockdale and Cameron battled a hard-to-fight brush at grass fire off County Road 338 Tuesday afternoon.
That call came in a 4:20 p.m. About an hour later Rockdale VFD, with assistance from Black Jack VFD, was called to a grass fire on County Road 320.
