MILANO—The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) will host a free Groundwater Harvesting Class from 4 to 8 p.m. Whursday at the SRVGFD office in Milano.
Those who complete the class will receive a certificate of completion that can be used to apply for the District Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Program that offers up to $3,000 reimbursement for Milam and Burleson County resident who install a system.
POSGCD staff will be available to help assist with questions.
Dinner and all materials will be provided but seating is limited. Seats may be reserved by calling the POSGCD at 512-446-9900 or emailing jaclyn.robertson@ag.tamu.edu.
Topics to be covered include basics of rainwater collection, how to create your own system and onsite demonstrations will include seeing different systems in person.
Thursday’s class is presented by the POSGCD, the Texas Water Resources nstitute and the Texas A M Agrilife Extension Service.
