The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) will hold its 10th Annual Burleson and Milam Counties Groundwater Summit on July 18 at the Caldwell Civic Center.

At the Summit, attendees will explore the current state of water in Texas and its future outlook, learn how groundwater rights and regulations are being managed with Central Texas’s population growth, and learn about the district’s new 5-year permit review process beginning in January 2025. Attendees will also receive updates on new groundwater legislation and what it means for the future, get the latest updates on groundwater monitoring, and the latest on POSGCD’s grant programs and services and how they can benefit. Finally, attendees will get a better understanding of their water sample results and recommended treatment options.

“The lineup features presentations and panel discussions from top experts in the field. You’ll hear from state officials, engineers and groundwater pros who are eager to share their knowledge and answer your questions. Lunch will be provided, and there will be breaks for networking and picking up water sample results.

Register at www.posgcd. org/summit-2024 and mark your calendars for a day all about our groundwater,” said Gary Westbrook POSGCD General Manager.
