Rockdale’s “Treble Soul” duo performed on the iconic television show “American Idol” Sunday evening and half of it advanced to the next round in Hollywood.

Treble Soul is composed of Rockdale’s Hannah Prestridge and her husband Curt Jones. They sang individually before the judging panel of Lionel Ritchie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan and shared their stories of Kurt’s support in Hannah’s overcoming drug addiction.

The panel then gave Hannah a “golden ticket” to advance to the next round.

Curt did not advance but Bryan voted “yes,” on his performance saying his vote was “because you’re a good man.”

The couple, who live in Rockdale, have performed at numerous venues in the area, including for street dances in downtown Rockdale.

Hannah literally “grew up” singing in Rockdale events from the time she was young girl.

Sunday’s “American Idol” show was viewed in several watch parties across Central Texas in support of the couple.
