The first of Rockdale’s Community Market went off without a hitch and both vendors and customers had a great day. The market will be at the same location, Cardinal Roofing, 1613 West Cameron Avenue, every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. About 20 vendors were set up selling everything from flowers to candles to food, and live entertainment was provided by Joe Frausto. “I saw lots of new faces on Saturday, and everything went well,” said organizer Georgia Marshall. Rockdale Animal Shelter was there with some of their dogs and two got adopted on Saturday.
