Dr. Joy Alonzo of the Texas A&M Health Science Center makes a point to community leaders during a meeting Friday at the Patterson Civic Center. The meeting was designed to provide more details about a grant-funded program designed to come up with concepts for rural communities who have lost all or part of their health care systems. Rockdale’s hospital and associated clinics closed last year. See story page 1A.
