During the month of May, we are highlighting our Milam County 4-H seniors graduating in 2020.

We are so proud of these youth as they have worked very hard, for most of them, over 10 years in 4-H.

They have competed in numerous competitions and have gained skills they will use their entire life.

This week we will be spotlighting Rebecca Kostroun and Jacob Barron.

KOSTROUN—Rebecca Kostroun is a member of the Cameron 4-H Club.

Her 4-H projects are Plant ID (11 years), Consumer Education (5 years), Health and Personal Safety (5 years), and Leadership (5 years).

Her 4-H leadership positions include club treasurer, teen leader, and council delegate. Rebecca is also very

Rebecca is also very involved in school and her activities include: Valedictorian, C.H. Yoe Drum Major (2 years), band member (4 years), NHS (3 years), Yoe Lady soccer (3 years), and Yoe High Student Council (3 years).

Rebecca plans to attend Baylor University and major in Engineering.

Her favorite 4-H memory was attending Texas

4-H Roundup the first time and winning which meant walking the stage together as a team in front of all the people.

BARRON—Jacob Barron is a member of the Thorndale 4-H Club and Milam County 4-H Council.

His projects include natural resources (12 years), swine (12 years), beef (12 years), and poultry (12 years). His current 4-H lead

His current 4-H leadership positions include County Council Chairman of Summer Activities and club vice president.

Jacob is also very busy with school activities which include FFA Vice President (2 years), Homecoming King, FFA Land Judging Team, and Dickersons Middle School Outdoor Wildlife Adventures Teaching Assistant.

He plans to attend Tarleton State University PSA program then go to Texas A&M University. Jacob plans to major in Agribusiness.

Jacob’s favorite 4-H memory was one of his first pig shows in Cameron and the pig took off running and threw dirt all on the judges….not a good show day.
