Masonry work on Rockdale’s new police station has progressed around to the east side of the building, located at the corner of Cameron Avenue (US 79) and Green Street. Work is progressing rapidly on the structure and a moving date of March 13, 2019, has been set for transferring the department from its current home, the 123-year-old former City Hall four blocks away. City Manager Chris Whittaker said the project is ahead of budget.
