HOLE IN ONE

Rockdale’s Munroe Jungmann, above, made a hole in one on July 10 on hole No. 5 at the Rockdale Country Club and was awarded $500 by the Men’s Golfing Association. He used a utility club from 142 yards and the shot was witnessed by Gerald Morton, Randy Fletcher and Kent Greenway. Homer Mowdy shot his age, 80, on the same day. Mowdy tries to hold a senior scramble once every month, weather permitting, usually on the third Thursday.
