All city and county offices will be closed to commemorate Memorial Day on Monday.
Area banks and the credit union will also be closed that day.
The Rockdale Reporter will also be closed for that holiday.
American Legion Carlyle Post 358 will hold a dedication of the benches a member donated for Rockdale’s Veterans Memorial at Veterans Park. The dedication will be on Memorial Day at 10 a.m. The post commander will do a brief Memorial Day Remembrance.
The post along with the Rockdale VFW and its Auxiliary will place flags in Bridge Park on Thursday starting at 9 a.m. in honor of those who died in service to the county. Join your heart with ours in honoring these brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
