Peace Lutheran Church, 303 Meadow Drive, will host the Rockdale Ministerial Alliance-sponsored Holy Week luncheons during the noon hour Monday through Friday, April 15-19.
“These annual events feature light lunches provided by local congregations, messages by local clergy, and music,” said Minister Jason Hollinger, president of the Ministerial Alliance.
Speakers, and others, for each day are:
• Monday—Hollinger, Murray Street Church 0f Christ; scripture, Matt Higginbotham, First Baptist; music leader, Jason Hale, Street Ministries 25:40; food, Murray Street Church of Christ, First Baptist.
• Tuesday—Rev. Steve Ammons, Meadowbrook Baptist; scripture, Maria Gonzales, Gospel of Life; music leader, Meadow-brook Baptist; food, Meadowbrook Baptist, Gospel Life.
• Wednesday—Rev. John Seaton, St. John’s United Methodist; scripture, R. L. Love, First Assembly of God; music leader, St. John’s United Methodist Church; food, St. John’s United Methodist, Gospel Life, First Assembly of God.
• Thursday—Rev. Andy Pate, First Christian; scripture, Lance Walch, Forest Grove Christian; music leader, not determined at Reporter presstime; food, First Christian and another congregation to be determined.
• Friday—Rev. Royal Johnson, Rising Star Baptist Church; scripture, representative of First Presbyterian; music, Rising Star Baptist; food, Rising Star Baptist, St. Thomas Episcopal, First Presbyterian.
Services are open to all and conclude in time for working persons to get back to their jobs. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods for donation to Rockdale Christian Services Food Pantry.
