Holy Week luncheons, sponsored by Rockdale Ministerial Alliance, were held Monday through Wednesday, March 25-26-27, at Peace Lutheran Church, 303 Meadow Dr.
Each luncheon included food, fellowship, music and a short devotional from noon until 1 p.m.
Host churches are St. John’s United Methodist and Peace Lutheran on Monday, St. Thomas Episcopal and First Presbyterian on Tuesday, and Rising Star Baptist and First Baptist on Wednesday.
Contact person is Patrick Welton, cell 830385-2345. EASTER SUNRISE— Rockdale’s community Easter Sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. Sunday at Wolf Park downtown, also sponsored by the ministerial alliance.
Order of worship will include Pastor Royal Johnson, ministerial alliance president, welcome and prayer; Pastor Patrick Welton, scripture reading (John 20:1-18); congregational singing, led by Meadowbrook Baptist Church; and the Word, offered by Pastor Madison Garcia- Taylor.
