Rockdale High School’s annual Homecoming Parade is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 17), from the Tiger Stadium parking lot to Veterans Park.

The parade will form in the parking lot and march west on Murray Avenue toward the high school.

Parade route winds around RHS, turning left on Childress, then right on Pecos, west on Pecos to Brazos at Veterans Park.

The parade marches one block south on Brazos, right on Mistletoe and ends in the park.

There will be free hot dogs at the park after the parade, courtesy of the Tigers Booster Club.

El Camino Real program ahead

Dr. Steven Gonzales will present a program on the El Camino Real de los Tejas at 6 p.m. Thursday, at the city library.

He is executive director of El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail Association.

His appearance is part of Archaeology Month in October.

Geri Burnett and Randy Billingsley, members of The Milam County Historical Commission, are presenting history programs to fourth graders throughout the county.
