Icy conditions before dawn Monday were blamed for two rollover wrecks on US 79 within 15 minutes of each other.

Trooper Erik Gaston said at 5 a.m. a vehicle operated by Oscar Gomez, 48, of Rockdale left the highway near County Road 306.

At 5:15 a.m. a vehicle driven by Shane Patteson, 32, of Rockdale, left the highway near the site of the first accident.

Gaston said no injuries were reported and termed damages moderate to extensive.

A vehicle was totaled at 4:47 p.m. Thursday when it left FM 908 near CT 429 and struck a tree, according to Trooper Ernest Del-Bosque, who listed the driver as Garrett Jordan, 16, of Rockdale.

Trooper Josh Hendricks said moderate damages were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 12:17 p.m. Saturday at the CR 322-326 corner. Drivers were listed as Keaton Popham, 17, of Milano and Rachel McClain, 46, of Milano.
