How is it already February? It has been a wonderful year at Rockdale Intermediate School. We wrapped up the week with our Spring Dance. If you haven’t had a chance to check our Facebook page, you should. Our students were all dolled up for the big night. By the time we sent them home they were danced-out and had more snacks than some of them could hold.
The springtime is a busy time in education and the months go by faster each year. In the next couple of months we have several events taking place at RIS. Ms. Miller sends out a weekly newsletter with updates as well as upcoming dates. The newsletter is sent through Parent Square and shared on Facebook.
Student s wi l l take benchmark tests next week. On Tuesday, third, fourth and fifth graders will test in English Language Arts (ELA); on Wednesday 5th graders will take the science test, and on Thursday all third, fourth and fifth graders will take the math benchmark test.
We ask that students arrive on time to school so we can get everyone breakfast and sent to class before the tardy bell rings.
We will be celebrating Texas Public Schools Week soon, so watch out for those events coming the week of March 6, just before spring break.
