Rockdale’s, Betty Margaret Ferguson was featured at the 2018 International Quilt Festival held in Houston The festival, in its 44th year, features more than 1,600 quilts and unique works of textile art from 35 countries. Ferguson’s was one of only 18 quilts in the Texas guild division. It is a Points of Pride pattern with paper piecing. She said the impression of a sunrise in the blocks inspired the way it was quilted. it also was awarded first place at the Giddings Happy Hearts Quilt Guild-Quilt Show in June.
