Rockdale-area artist Melton Guthrie’s vision of a red rooster and blue rooster fighting over a lizard bears that title and you are free to draw your own conclusions. The painting won second place in the prestigious Conroe Art League’s Fourth Annual Invitational Juried Art Show. Among the 372 entries, from 31 states, Guthrie was one of only four artists to have two paintings among the 75 finalists making the show.
