Many of you know about iTigers at Rockdale ISD. You probably have a student who attends our tutorials after school, fun enrichment activities after school or before school homework help. Maybe you have attended some iTigers parent activities like our Camp Gladiator Boot Camp, cooking classes or you signed up to attend some family discussion classes.
The iTigers program touches so many; not only in our schools, but in our community as well. Here are a few upcoming dates for students, the community and parents.
This year will look a little different because of the evolving situation with new guidance from the Texas Education Agency and our state government about COVID-19. The district understands that the details surrounding the return of school and the after-school program are importance to its students, staff, families and community.
iTigers will participate in the annual Lights on After School event to celebrate after school programs. This year it will be a drive through event at each campus and celebrated with a treat and a coloring contest. It will be Thursday from 5:30 to 6:15 pm, so come join us.
The iTigers program is currently holding weekly English Language Learner parent classes Mondays at Rockdale Elementary School from 6 to 8 p.m. Contact the site coordinator at your student’s campus if you are interested in attending classes.
RISD iTigers after school fall classes will end Dec. 3, and morning classes will end Dec. 4. iTigers will resume for spring classes Jan. 1. If there is an early release from school, we will not have afternoon iTigers on that day.
