A jackpot beans and chili cookoff will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Oak Club, 16149 N. FM 486, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
Kim Jeter, spokesperson, said entry fee is $20 for chili and $10 for beans. Rules are:
• Prepare on site.
• No beans in chili.
• Registration begins at 10 a.m.
• 2 p.m. chili turn-in.
• 3 p.m. beans turn-in.
• No campers allowed.
Awards will go to the top three places for chili. A washer tourney will also be held.
Washer pitching—The twice-a-month ACS-benefit washer-pitching tournaments continue at 5:15 p.m. each second and fourth Sundays at the Apache Pass Ice House, with registration starting at 4:30 p.m. and prizes to the top three teams.
