July 4 to have music, vendors, fireworks

The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce with the support of area businesses will hold the Milam County Fireworks Celebration on Sunday at Fair Park beginning at 6 p.m.

Admission is free and there will be food vendors, games and patriotic gifts for the kids.

Patriotic-themed music will be played—beginning about 7:30 p.m.—by Communities in Concert Band, which includes members from Rockdale, Milano, Thorndale, Cameron, Caldwell and Taylor.

The the fireworks will begin at dark.

This countywide celebration is presented by Whinstone US and sponsored by several area businesses.
