The Milam County Junior Livestock Show Baked Goods division will look a little different this year. FFA and 4-H members will be baking cookies, pies and cakes to be judged Saturday.
They will be interviewing for the chance to win showmanship awards. These youth work hard and build some great life skills. New this year, the youth’s baked goods will not be auctioned off in the regular auction. However, anyone can come and purchase all baked goods from the youth.
At the conclusion of the competition, all baked goods will be for sale to the public. This Donation Sale will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday. Minimum price will be $25 for each item and buyers will receive your baked item at that time of purchase. Come out and get you a cake, pie or a batch of cookies and support these fine bakers from Milam County. We encourage the public, including businesses and organizations, to come and support these youth. Some of them do not show animals, so this is an opportunity to help support them as well.
