The Milam Count y Junior Livestock Show will be held March 20-23, 2024. All rules have been posted on the MCJLS website and can be found here: https://mcjla.org/.

Entry nights will be the following:

• Tuesday, Feb. 6: Thorndale Ag Science Building

• Thursday, Feb. 8: Cameron • All entries must be received by secretary no later than Feb. 8. After Feb. 8, late entries will be accepted until March 16 for an additional fee of $100 per entry.

Remember the following exhibitor entry requirements: Exhibitor must be either a resident of Milam County or attend school in Milam County and must meet the following requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a public or private elementary or secondary school.

• Must be a minimum of five years old and in kindergarten as of September 1st of the current school year.

• Must be a member of a Milam County 4-H or a Milam County FFA Chapter.

The Bake Food Show for MCJLS happens before the main MCJLS on March 16. Please see a few reminders. The Holidays are a great time to practice on these dishes and find out what family members think of your recipes. This year, a bar dessert has been added to the category list.

Baked Food Show Rules

• CAKE—Decorations and garnishes are acceptable but must be edible.

• PIE—Fruit or nut. Pie crust must be made from scratch. No ready-mix or canned filling.

• COOKIES—Drop, rolled or shaped. A recipe amount of two dozen or more.

• BARS—Baked in an oblong or sheet pan and cut into uniform size pieces. A recipe amount of not less than 20 bars.
