It's your last chance to get tickets for the Mardi Gras this Saturday. The ninth annual Mardi Gras bash raises funds for the Christine Holcombe Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit Milam County youth with college scholarships.
The “Mardi Gras” bash will be at Simon George Hall, 401 S. Karnes, in Cameron. The event starts at 6 p.m. and will include a Cajun food dinner, live auction, a 50/50, door prizes and activities for the kids.
Adult tickets are $10 and children under 18 are $5.
Tickets can be bought purchased at the Milam County Extension Office in Cameron, the Cameron Chamber of Commerce or Thorndale Meat Market in Thorndale.
Over the past nine years $111,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Milam County students who are currently in college.
