Liberty Community Church will host Easter sunrise services at 7 a.m. Sunday. Bro. Roy Dillard and Bro. Loren Johnson will conduct the services. There will be a pot luck breakfast following the service and everyone is asked to break a favorite breakfast dish.
ONE-ACT PLAY— Milano High School’s One-Act Play cast and crew performed at the Class 2A Region IV contest on Monday. The group performed scenes from “Flowers for Algernon” at the competition held in Corpus Christi.
Christopher Strange received best actor for the region in the contest. Jaden Carmichael earned honorable mention all-star cast and Mary Brown was named to the all-star crew.
FFA FOOD DRIVE— The Milano FFA chapter, along with all Milam County FFA chapters, will be collecting non-perishable food items to help the Franklin Food Pantry that was destroy by a tornado over the weekend. There are donation boxes at each Milano ISD campus office, as well as at the Ag building.
POETRY SHOWCASE—Milano Elementary School will hold its first ever fifth grade Poetry Showcase at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25. Students will share poetry that they have written during their poetry unit.
MASONIC TOURNEY—Milano Masonic Lodge has set its annual scholarship tournament for April 27 at the Cameron Country Club. The 18-hole tournament has a 9 a.m. tee time and a late registration from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Entry fee is $50 per person and prizes are awarded to first through third place teams.
Winners will be rewarded for first hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to pin. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Hole sponsorships are available for $150 each.

MISD TOURNEY—The annual Milano ISD scholarship golf tournament has been rescheduled for May 18 due to wet weather last weekend. The event will still take place at Rockdale Country Club.
Cost is $75 per player and is a four-person scramble event. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Prizes will be handed out for first through third place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one.
Limited to first 18 teams, breakfast and light lunch provided. Hole sponsorships are available for $120.

BOTTLE DÉCOR PARTY—The Milano Parents Club’s “bottle décor party” has been moved to May 19 at the Rockdale Country Club. Time is 6 to 8 p.m. and cost is $30 per person; you must reserve your spot.
