The Rockdale Lions Club will host its 20th annual Pancake and Bacon Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Rockdale Junior High Commons.
“Fat Tuesday” is the English translation of the French “Mardi Gras” and it falls the day before Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of the Lenten season leading up to Easter, which this year is April 12.
The Fat Tuesday event features pancake-and bacon (or sausage) meals. Adult tickets are $8, children ages 6-12 are $5, and children five and under eat free.
Proceeds go toward the numerous Lions Club charities and its annual scholarships.
