Rockdale’s star at the Main Street and Cameron Avenue intersection downtown made its appearance during the past two weeks and, once again, local broker John Dean supplied both the city and The Reporter with pictures taken from his drone. The star, pointing due north, was stained by employees of Big Creek Construction, the company hired by TxDOT to complete the work in downtown Rockdale. The Reporter reached out to our contacts at TxDOT for an update on when the project will be finished, but we did not hear back from them by press time Wednesday.
