Rockdale Chamber of Commerce has made sure that this Saturday will be a busy day celebrating Christmas.
Saturday morning at The Patterson Center the annual Breakfast with Santa will kick off from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person, and you’ll enjoy a pancake breakfast, assembling gingerbread houses, photos with Santa and other activities. This event is sponsored by McDonald’s, Walmart and Aaron’s.
Winter Wonderland at Wolf Park starts at 4 p.m. and features vendors, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family. A new feature this year is a giant 10-foot-tall snow globe. Attendees will be able to step into the globe for another Christmas photo opportunity. The snow globe is sponsored by 77 Crossroads Storage.
At 5 p.m. there will be a tamale eating contest sponsored by HEB with a $100 cash prize.
The nighttime lighted parade starts at 6 p.m. and will travel from city hall through downtown. This year’s theme is A Time Traveler’s Christmas.
After the parade enjoy more activities at Winter Wonderland at Wolf Park.
