Law enforcement investigators believe an argument over a bull and damaged property is what led to the death of a Central Texas man early Saturday morning on property south of Rockdale.

Israel Ballester was charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the shootings, according to Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore.

Dalton Shaw, who was from Buda, died in the incident after being shot in the torso.

Two other men, James Braden Eudy and Brandon Fenton Carl, were taken to area hospitals. Eudy was listed in stable condition while Carl was released after a short stay in the hospital Saturday.

Ballester, 39, is currently in Milam County Jail on $600,000 bond. He was booked into jail at 9:11 p.m. Saturday. His place of residence is listed on the jail log as Pflugerville.

Authorities say a Glock 26, also called a baby Glock because of its small size, was found on the scene.
