Tuesday is, of course, New Year’s Day and most businesses and government institutions are taking the holiday off.
Among the closings are all of Rockdale’s financial institutions.
City Hall and the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library will be closed Tuesday only.
Rockdale’s garbage pickup will be one day late next week after the holiday.
The Rockdale post office will be closed on Tuesday.
SCHOOL—Everybody is out of school for the holidays.
Thorndale ISD and Thorndale St. Paul’s students will return on Monday Jan. 7.
Milano and Gause students return Tuesday, Jan. 8 and Rockdale’s on Wednesday, Jan. 9 after two teacher work days.
