—Lowe’s of Hutto employees. working through its “Lowe’s Heroes” volunteer program, presented a new refrigerator and microwave to Rockdale’s MARC Center, along with a table, power washer and scrubber the Heroes used to clean sidewalks, patio area and storage building and tools. More work was done including tree trimming, parking lot re-striping and tables and benches were cleaned and/ or stained and sanded. Lowe’s employee Shannon Kornegay submitted the Lowe’s Heroes grant on behalf of the center. Kornegay and other Lowe’s employees on hand were Matt Newberry, Brian Quintinsky, Adam Miller, Megan Moeller, Estrella Skeens, Tina Bortels, Kristi Douglas, Kristen Mahaney, Verna Singletary and Lisa Andrews. MARC volunteers expressed appreciation for the donations and day of work. At rigjt in the photo are representatives of Windham Roofing, which donated $1,000 to the center.
