MASTER GARDENERS—The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association recognized four newly-certified Master Gardeners (L-R) Reneé Ryan of Gause, Mary Ann Fenske of Rockdale, Charlene Barnes of Killeen and Don Smith of Cameron. They completed over 50 hours of training in the Master Gardener Training Program earlier this year and completed an additional 50 volunteer hours in horticultural related projects. LRBMGA President Mary Waters commended these individuals saying, “This is a great accomplishment. We are proud to welcome them into the Master Gardener family.” The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association will hold a meeting on at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 entitled “Managing Grass Burs” at Bea’s Kitchen, 101 E. Main St. in Cameron. Light refreshments will be served. The association has members from four counties throughout Central Texas.
