Judge: 'One of two cases reported Friday didn't live in Milam'
Body

Milam County Judge Steve Young said Friday afternoon there are now 43 cases of COVID-19 in the county.

Young said officials had previously told him there were two new cases reported, which would have brought the total to 44.

However, it was later learned one of those who tested positive did not live in the county. "It was close but it turned out to be across the county line," he said.

Young said the Milam County Health Department is currently monitoring 43 persons believed to have been exposed to the virus.

He urged Milam residents to continue to wear masks in  public and maintain social distancing.
