The Milam County Historical Commission will conduct its meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5 in the Commissioners Courtroom at the Milam County Courthouse.
The purpose of this commission is to preserve, protect and promote history within the county. The commission members are volunteers appointed by the County Commissioners Court to serve. The meetings are open to the public.
Current members are from all across the county including Gause, Milano, Rockdale, Cameron, Thorndale and San Gabriel. Holly Jentsch of Gause is the current Chairman of the Commission. Anyone interested in promoting and preserving Texas history, particularly involving Milam County, is invited to attend the commission’s meetings.
