Milano ISD has its first ever team state title. The boys track team brought home the Class 2A state track championship on Saturday from the UIL State Track and Field Championships. The team consisted of just seven young men and we are so very proud of them and their coaches. Great job Milano Eagles for bringing home the gold.
GOLF TOURNEY—
The annual Milano ISD scholarship golf tournament will be held on Saturday at the Rock-dale Country Club. Cost is $75 per player and is a four-person scramble event. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Prizes will be handed out for first through third place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one. All net proceeds will fund scholarships for graduating Milano students. For more information, contact Milano ISD, 512-455-2533, golf@milanoisd.net or visit www.milanoisd.net.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION—Please be sure to send your Box Tops for Education to Milano Elementary School, or contact me and I will get them from you. The deadline to turn them in for this school year is May 18.
