Lula Mae Rivers will be grand marshal for Rock-dale’s annual MLK Day Parade, set for 4 p.m. Sunday, the day prior to the actual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The parade forms at the corner of Ackerman and Milam Avenue.
It enters Cameron Avenue (US 79), then turns east on Cameron to San Gabriel.
The route turns south on San Gabriel and proceeds to the corner of Plum and MLK where it disbands.
Members of the 2020 MLK Day parade committee were listed as follows:
Henry Miller, Lisa Roberts, Nathan Roberts, Kefa Mitchell, Lynda Ford, Larry Wilcox, Terrie Jones, Kendra Darnell, LaCretia Henderson, Bobby Joe Tindle and Terry Larkin.
