Elias and Margaret Green will be grand marshals for Rockdale’s annual MLK Day Parade, set for 4 p.m. Jan. 20, the day prior to the actual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The parade forms at the corner of Ackerman and Cameron (US 79).
It enters the highway, then turns east on Cameron to San Gabriel.
The route turns south on San Gabriel and proceeds to the corner of Plum and MLK where it disbands.
Members of the 2019 MLK Day parade committee were listed as follows:
Henry Miller, Lisa Roberts, Nathan Roberts, Kefa Mitchell, Lynda Ford, Larry Wilcox, Terrie Jones, Kendra Darnell, Lucretia Henderson and Darrel Greer.
