CAMERON—A former Milano resident who pleaded guilty in April to neglecting her child as part of an online scam received an eight-year prison term Thursday in 20th District Court.
Katelyn Carnline, 29, still faces charges in Brazos County, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey.
TRIAL—A jury found Jessie Lee Brooks Jr., 43, of Cameron guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon last week.
Sentencing will be at a future date.
Court—other recent district court action was listed as follows:
• Skylar Neil McDonald, 26, Alvin, eight years for unlawful possession of firearm by felon.
• Quillan Marquiec Davis, 24, Rockdale, two years after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for possession of controlled substance (4-400 grams) with intent to deliver.
• Equalae Len Davis, 44, Rock-dale, two years, pay $415 in parole restitution to victim after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for burglary of habitation.
• Jacob Cole Clopton, 31, Davilla, was sentenced to 14 months after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for theft of firearm
• Justin Tate Vanwinkle, 22, Rockdale, 10 years, probated to 5, $2,500 fine for assault family violence with previous conviction.
• Lois Ray Mitchell, 68, Rock-dale, two years probated for three, $3,800 restitution to the victim for theft of materials.
• Robert Weston Whitbey, 24, Rockdale, three years deferred adjudication $1,000 fine, $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (1-4 grams).
• Caleb Magallon, 19, Thorndale, four years deferred adjudication with standard conditions $1,500 fine and restitution of $1,750 to victims for burglary of habitation.
• James Edward Turman, 47, Rockdale, four years deferred adjudication, $2,500 fine for accident involving injury–failure to stop.
• Billy Marvin Green Jr., 58, Cameron, one year probated for two, $2,500 fine $380 restitution to victims lesser included Class A misdemeanor, DWI 2nd.
• Jean Yatzaret Albarado, 26, Austin, 2 years, pay parole restitution of $2,022 to the victims for burglary of habitation.
• Scott Wayne Williams, 45, Rockdale, two years after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for assault family violence–impede breathing/circulation.
• Bradley Dante Brown, 31, Rockdale, three years after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for tampering with evidence.
• Christopher Clayton Wallace, 39, Rockdale, five years for assault causes bodily injury- family violence with previous conviction; also five years after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for tampering with evidence.
