POLICE REPORT
A vehicle chase in east Rockdale ended Monday evening with the arrest of a 54-year-old Houston man.
Edward James Miller was apprehended on Douthit Street by Ofc. Cory Puente according to Lt. Stephen Goodrich of the Rockdale Police Department.
Goodrich said Puente attempted to stop the vehicle, then chased it down Belton Avenue after the driver failed to stop.
Miller was charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
ARRESTS—Other felony arrests were listed during the week as follows:
• Jordan Deshawn Deary, 26, Rockdale, burglary of habitation, in custody on $30,000 bond.
• Delores Juanita Collins, 37, Gause, possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), in custody on $25,000 bond.
t. Goodrich said an arrest was also made in connection with what he described as a “feud” between two persons that involved a physical assault and “dragging a 50-inch television, then trying to stomp on it.”
FORGERY—He said a forgery attempt was made at Brookshire Bros. but the clerk recognized the $100-bill presented in payment for a $30 purchase “was a phony.”
Officers responded to 160 calls for service and there were 82 calls received through the 911 system.
