Monzingo’s contract extended

In a special meeting of the Rockdale ISD Board of Trustees on Wednesday, Jan. 12, the board voted to extend Superintendent Dr. Denise Monzingo’s contract through the 2024-2025 school year.

Troy Zinn, president of the board, stated “Dr. Monzingo has continued to successful ly lead our district, even through the difficult time of an ongoing pandemic. We are proud of how the team of administrators, faculty and staff, assembled under her leadership, has continued to achieve while doing everything necessary to keep our students and staff safe. It was an easy and unanimous decision to extend her contract and we are looking forward to all the good and exciting things to come.”
