With the Milam County COVID-19 case count at 22, and expected to climb (see separate story) another test day has been set for Monday at the Milano Volunteer Fire Department.
County Judge Steve Young said tests begin at 9 a.m. and—like the previous test date April 29— a call-in number to schedule tests won’t be made public until 24 hours in advance.
The number will be posted on The Reporter’s website as soon as it is released to Judge Young, and reported to this newspaper. Tests are free,
“Those who want to be screened will call the number for per-screening,” he said.
If the person is accepted for a test, it will be a drive-through operation, using a nasal swab, exactly as in the April 29 screening in the same location.
On April 29, 37 persons were screened, including 22 from Milam County.
Only one new Milam positive case was reported from that event.
The screenings are projects of the Texas National Guard.
